Dear Visitor,
We're glad you're here! Over the past two years, we at Crittenden have been exploring the power of Project-Based Learning through a strategic grassroots approach. You could say that we've used a PBL approach to PBL, with our reliance on coaching, collaboration, and the never-ending search for inspiration from a multitude of resources. Together, we've set goals for ourselves and our students as we all strive to become better critical thinkers, more creative problem solvers, constant communicators, and active collaborators.
This website is the start of a portfolio project that aims to collect and display the result of our efforts. You'll notice that, despite some differences in how we individually organize our projects, all of them start with a "driving" or "essential" question, followed by a "Project Spotlight" (an overview of the project), and examples of student- and teacher work.
We hope you'll see that PBL has transformed the way we do things across all subject areas, and especially in Social Studies and Science. We are more equipped than ever to strive toward our collective vision of student excellence:
